Corporate Social Responsibility

Career Counselling & Awareness Campaigns

The concept of CSR rests on the ideology of businesses giving back to society as they grow and benefit. Howard Bowen, an American economist, is often cited as the “father of CSR.” He connected the responsibility of corporations to society and published a book in 1953, which advocated for business ethics and responsiveness to societal stakeholders called Social Responsibilities of the Businessman.

In India, the concept of CSR still holds new and was implemented only after the passing of the Companies Act, 2013.

The CSR activities undertaken by the Corporates can pertain to –

  • Environmental social responsibility
  • Ethical/human rights social responsibility
  • Philanthropic corporate responsibility
  • Economic corporate responsibility

As an educational institute, since our inception in 2020, we have been regularly involved in community initiatives by holding various informative and awareness sessions for students belonging to EWS category. Not only that we also conduct career counselling sessions and provide concession to students in regular academic classes for those belonging to EWS category or government school students who cannot afford to pay the entire fees. We try to contribute in whatever little ways we can give back to the society and regularly distribute stationary items & supplies to those NGOs engaged in the education sector.

Business Blasters Coach

Business Blasters is a practical component of EMC (Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum) for classes 11th and 12th introduced by the Delhi Government and has been designed to provide students an experience to work in teams, identify social challenges, prepare business plans, and implement their ideas in their neighbourhoods.

Our founder, Ms. Aditi Bhati, has been involved in the EMC classes as a Business Coach since its inception in 2021. She along with her team at Calibre and Career have been involved in guiding teams as to the design of the product, procurement of raw material, finalizing on brand name and logo, developing a website, pitching the price of the product, getting initial orders etc. The experience of guiding these teams has been an enriching one as it is surprising how children at this age are quick learners and adapt to challenges way better than adults. They are flexible in their approach and understand their community/neighbourhood problems better than most of us. One of the team “SINISTERS” has in fact made it to the TOP 100 teams in 2023 and we congratulate them for their collective vision and the hardwork put in by core members.
